Digital Art
I have been a collector of cigarette rolling paper packages since I bought my first bag of Bugler tobacco when I was fifteen.
I became fascinated by the paper engineering that produced a dispensing package assembled without using glue.
My father was a stamp collector and, as a result of seeing beautiful works of art on a small scale, I am inspired by lilliputian objects.
My first works based on rolling paper packages were a hand-cut lacquer stencil serigraph of the Vogue package and a linoleum cut of the vertical panel of the Chantecler package.
My current works are drawn with Bezier and pixel based software using a mouse . Most of these are 24" x 30" archivally printed using my Epson 7900.
